Strain gauges

The following strain gauge (SG) variants are available for experimental investigations:

  • Linear strip with a single measuring grid (simple strain measurement);
  • Double SGs with two measuring grids (strains in bending rods);
  • T-rosettes with two measuring grids (two-axis stress state analysis with known principal directions; strains in tension/compression rods);
  • Rosettes with three measuring grids (two-axis stress state analysis with unknown principal directions);
  • V-shaped SGs (strains in torsion rods; shear strains in shear rods in the area of the neutral fiber);
  • Full-bridge SGs (strains in torsion rods as well as tension/compression rods; shear strains in shear rods in the area of the neutral fiber);
